Hardsand moulding, which is also known as the cold setting process, is most often used for large moulds or jobbing work. It is suitable for both iron and steel castings. Sand is mixed with a binder and a catalyst, which react, hardening the sand. The sand can be reclaimed.

Our newly expanded and automated molding and core making department produces castings of outstanding dimensional stability and superior appearance.

Patterns are produced in wood, plastic or polystyrene, depending upon customer needs. Our range of casting size, melting capacity, control of core and mold making and availability of various pattern materials give us the ability to produce high quality steel castings in quantities from a single prototype to a long production run.
